Sony reveals two PlayStation Certified tablets. Expected Fall 2011.
Sony throws two more attempts into the portable arena with it's two PlayStation Certified tablets, codenamed S1 and S2.
The S1 looks to be a traditional looking tablet, with a 9.4 inch touchscreen display, while the S2 has a clamshell design, with two 5.5 inch touch screens that both have a 1024 x 480 display.
Both products were shown to be playing PlayStaion 1 eta games (such as Crash Bandicoot), using the touch screens to control with the traditional Playstation Controls -minus the Dual Analogues. With access to the PlayStation Suite, it's presumed the tablets will have a similar games catalogue to that of the PlayStation Certified Xperia Play, AKA the PlayStation Phone.
The tablets both run on Android's tablet OS Honeycomb (Android 3.0), have wi-fi, 3G and 4G connectivity. In addition to this, Both products will be compatible with Sony's online music services and it's e-book store as well as other Sony products such as Bravia TV sets to be used as remote controls. The tablets expected to be released around Fall of 2011.
