3D Playstation Branded Display – Specifications
Sony announced a new 24 inch 3D display at E3 last night, developed specifically for use with a Playstation 3 console or PSP handheld.
The 24inch monitor comes in full-HD resolution and is capable of displaying two different images to players and thanks to the stereoscopic glasses included, each player will see a different image during multiplayer, doing away with the classic split screen multiplayer experience. This feature will come in extremely helpful in dual player game modes but is only compatible with certain titles.
The display is bundled with a six foot HDMI cable, the 3D glasses just mentioned and upcoming title Resistance 3. According to Sony the accessories alone included with the bundle are worth over $150. The whole package is priced at $499 and will go on sale this fall in the US, Japan, Europe and Asia. Extra 3D glasses which are fully rechargeable and take only 3 minutes to charge enough battery to last 3 hours of use will set you back $69.99.
