PlayStation Network DLC & Games Now Available In GAME

GAME

A few months back, we reported that GAME had started selling Xbox Live Arcade games & DLC in a pre paid card format. Now, Sony appears to have done the same with the PlayStation Network (PSN).

To start with, only 42 game stores will stock these cards, feature games like MAG, the God of War Collection, Wipeout Fury, Killzone's Steel Rain Map pack and Uncharted 2's Siege DLC. However the plan is to expand this to all GAME stores and even Europe with their entire games collection.

Ian Sheppard, GAME's CEO said "This is important because it offers customers more choice, more advice and more control than they can get online." While SCEE'S Vice President of Sales and Commercial Development, Robert Fisser, said the partnership "will see over 6,000 in-store sales associates promoting the fantastic content available on PlayStation Network to a new audience of over 3.5m customers each week"

Coming from the wake of Sony's hacking scandal, people may look to pre paid in store cards in future, purely from a security point of view. These cards will be available from today in stores.
