Epic announces Gears of War 3 Season Pass
Microsoft and Epic Games have provided details of a new 'Season Pass' which they will be releasing in conjunction with Gears of War 3.
The 'Season Pass' essentially allows you to pre-purchase the first four Gears DLCs for a knock-down price. The pass is available for 2400 Microsoft points from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and will become available from September 20th, the same day the game is released in the UK. Epic and Microsoft claim pre-purchasing all four as-of-yet confirmed DLCs in this fashion results in a 33% saving compared to buying each DLC separately when released. Furthermore the Season Pass will also included access to an exclusive 'Liquid Metal Weapon Set'. However, Season Pass holders do not receive the DLC any earlier, they are simply pre-purchasing them in a discounted bulk deal, they'll still have to wait for the various DLCs individual release dates before they can be played. Epic and Microsoft claim the first four DLCs will be releasing over the course of the next year, with the first arriving in November.
Gears of War 3 released in the UK on September 20th 2011, exclusively on Xbox 360.
