World of Warcraft introduce a pet that lets you buy in-game cash
Blizzard have just introduced the Guardian Cub that can be purchased for $10 and sold again in the auction house. Basically you can pay $10 to buy some in-game cash.
Blizzard seem pretty pleased with themselves however as they say this allows "players interested in the new pet [to] have fun, alternative [to paying real cash] in-game ways to get one." and that "In addition to trading the pet, players can give the Guardian Cub as a gift to another character for a special occasion; guild leaders can use them to reward members for a job well done; and so on.".
This seems like Blizzard taking the fight to the Gold Farmers once more, but I think it might become a pay to win system. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
