‘Back to Karkand’ content will feature in regular map rotation
EA has came out to correct a previously released official Twitter tweet which stated that the 'Back to Karkand' DLC would operate on a "separate map rotation", much in the same way the Vietnam expansion operates alongside the regular Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
EA informed Joystiq that the official message was incorrect, with the PR director confirming "Back to Karkand maps will be part of the same rotation as the base maps."
Joytiq furthered questioned whether this would be continued for future DLC for Battlefield 3, however EA stated they were currently focusing on 'Bark to Karkand'. The 'Back to Kankand' content is free to any who pre-ordered the Limited Edition of the game or alternatively can be purchased for $15 when it is released in December.
