Former Call of Duty Vet plans to “dethrone” it
Dusty Welch, the former senior vice president and head of publishing at Activision, plans to take Call of Duty's position as top FPS.
Dusty Welch has recently formed a new company called U4iA games, and they intend to create the biggest Call of Duty rival to date.
U4iA's first game will be a free-to-play browser-based FPS title, with Welch stating that he wants the game to be a "AAA, first person shooter experience in a browser.”
Welch was instrumental to the success of two of Activision's best series, Call of Duty and Guitar Hero. This is definitely something to keep your eye on.
