No Auction House for Korean Diablo III
South Koreans will get Diablo III, but with a slight change.
For over a month the South Korean ratings board has been contemplating whether to ban Diablo III over it's use of it's auction house. The Diablo III auction house allows gamers to sell in-game loot for real world money - somethingSouth Koreaparalleled to gambling.
South Koreahas strict anti-gambling laws, with Diablo III's auction house in apparent violation of those principles. However, the Korea Times has reported that the version of Diablo III finally approved inSouth Koreadid not include the auction house. The South Korean ratings board will re-open the issue if Blizzard decides to introduce such an auction house after launch, via updates.
