Gears of War 3 Fenix Rising DLC out now
The third DLC for the popular third person shooter Gears of War 3 is out now and available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The DLC includes five new multiplayers maps, four new character skins and a new levelling/experience system.
The new multiplayer maps are based on different parts of Marcus Fenix's life, and include: Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation, and the Slab. Hopefully these will bring something fresh to the game's multiplayer.
The four new character skins are: Recruit Clayton, Thrashball Cole (Limited Edition), Savage Marauder and Savage Kantus (Limited Edition).
The new experience system is quite interesting. When players reach level 100, they will have the choice to "Re-up", which means that their level will be reset to 1, however their progression (such as the TrueSkill rating) remain intact. Players will be able to Re-up three times and each one earns them a new set of coloured wings, going up in Red, Green, and Gold. They will also earn an exclusive, custom weapon which can't be obtained anywhere else.
