More open betas incoming for Guild Wars 2 and 2012 launch confirmed
Guild Wars 2 developers ArenaNet welcomed in the Year of the Dragon with news of upcoming betas.
As the first Guild Wars 2 closed beta has finished, ArenaNet are working on progressively expanding their betas. Certain members of the press will get their paws on it next month and soon after members of the public will be able to dive into Tyria.
A blog post on the ArenaNet website includes:
"February we’ll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate"
But that's not all the good news the post contains. Mike O'Brien, president and founder of ArenaNet, also says that this year:
"you’ll finally be able to immerse yourself in the vast, diverse world of Tyria."
and
" the seeds of that work come to fruition"
Looks like we'll definitely be seeing Guild Wars 2 this year then. We'll follow the news regarding the betas and let you know what you need to do to be one of the lucky chosen ones to get on it.
