GAME files for administration
GAME has finally filed for administration. It'll continue to trade for the moment, however.
MCV reports that a statement reads:
"Further to this morning's announcement of the suspension of trading in shares of GAME Group plc, the board has concluded that its discussions with all stakeholders and other parties have not made sufficient progress in the time available to offer a realistic prospect for a solvent solution for the business,”
Sadly it looks like GAME won't be gracing our high streets for much longer. Rumours suggest, however, that the current financial backers for GAME will be funding the opening of a new company.
