Windows 8 support for “new Xbox”
In an interview with The Verge Brian Hall, General Manager of Microsoft's Windows Live unit let slip that the "new Xbox" is in development.
Whilst everyone knows that Microsoft is working on a new Xbox, there's been no real confirmation until now. Speaking to The Verve, Hall was talking about the Windows email client Outlook, and it's future when he let slip about a "new wave of products" that are coming out with Windows 8, these new products include the "new Xbox".
Here's exactly what he said:
"We’ve had Hotmail and operated Hotmail for about 16 years, we obviously have Exchange, and Outlook, that people use at work. We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office with the new Windows phone and the new Xbox."
You can hear it for yourself in the video below, from around 1 minute 17 seconds.
