Real money prices appearing on Xbox Live, ‘an error’, say Microsoft
Xbox Live has recently shown real money prices for its items, but Microsoft have confirmed that it is a glitch.
Microsoft intend to continue using Microsoft Points as the official form of currency used by Xbox Live users. A statement has been released, saying:
“Yesterday, a few avatar items appeared with an option to purchase with local currency, instead of Microsoft Points. This display error doesn’t signal a change in payment options, but rather an error in how the offers were configured in our services which resulted in an inconsistent experience. It is in the process of being resolved.”
