Update for Minecraft 360 “Not out soon” but could contain some “unique things”
According to 4J Studio's news feed this morning, "We’re working on the 1.8.2 update, and deciding what to bring forward from 1.9 and beyond,"
The team have also said that "Many weeks of work to do yet, so [the update] is not out soon." So bad news for Minecraft 360 users.
Stuart Ross, developer at 4J studios confirmed some details for gamers. He confirmed that players worlds will not be deleted by the update once it does go live, although in order to access new structures players will need to create new worlds and that Ender Pearls have been cut from the 360 version. They will not however be used for teleportation purposes like the PC version.
Creation mode is also in this update, however 4J are stil working on bringing this hot feature into the 360 version.
“We haven’t decided what the Creative menu will be like, but it probably won’t be like the 1.8 one with the large scrolling menu,” Ross said. “It will be something that isn’t too cumbersome to use with a controller.”
Ross has also been rather sneaky with some things, hinting that the 360 version of Minecraft may be getting a little more than we expect it to get and maybe some additions that even the PC version doesn't have.
"There may be some new features in the next update…but you might not notice
There will probably be more unique things in the future, yes."
