An in depth look at the Kinect Update
We had a chance to sit down with Robin Burrowes and a have a play around with the upcoming Kinect dashboard update heading towards Xbox's sometime towards the release of Kinect on November 10th.
He showed us the new avatar marketplace, movies, how you can control everything from your couch and the new video chat feature which will become cross-platform with Windows Messenger on the PC in the new year. These aren't all the features you can expect out of the update, we were informed that there will be more to be announced.

I like it, and love the concept of this being the future for most things just a few little niggles that I took from that video, first being the the time it takes to load up one of the square where you have to leave the cursor over it for x amount of time even tho it was guessing 5 seconds I hope that you can change it to a less time but that just my personal preference.
Second thing which kind of relates to my first is the swiping to the next page not to sure on the extra you have to put into it for having to grab the little knob on the screen and slide to the right to get to the next page, for me id like to just do a swipe motion simple and quick but then again there is probably a good reason why they had to it they way its is.
I can see myself using it, but then I can also see my self just picking up either the remote or the controller to get to what I want quicker. Great for when the batteries are dead or lost controller tho
