No-Scoping Will Be Harder In COD: Black Ops
Some say it is the very best way to kill, some say it is the absolute worst: No-Scoping.
All FPS players must have experienced it at some point - There you are, making your way through a level, trying to track down the enemy team, when suddenly you come face-to-face with a person brandishing a sniper rifle. "Excellent", you think, "We are at short-range, me and my Uzi have the advantage here, he doesn't stand a..." and then you're dead. In a heartbeat, the other player has lined up their shot, without using the sniper scope and blasted you straight into next year.
Well, according to Treyarch, they recognise that this can be a hugely frustrating thing to encounter and will therefore be "gimping" (turning down) the auto-aim with scoped weapons in Call Of Duty: Black Ops, making it significantly harder for players to get a kill without using their scope.
Here's what Treyarch's community manager Josh Olin had to say on the subject, through his Twitter feed...
"Quickscoping is a cheap way to play. We're specifically going to gimp Quickscoping, sorry. Play straight-up!"
So there you have it! Play fair people!
